Knit content, kitten photo

I didn't think anyone would mind a Helo update. I don't have any new knitting to show today, so I just want to say that I want to find yarn that is the color of Helo. He is looking like a sourpuss (pun intended) in this image. He's just a teenager now. What a beauty he is. AL and Helo will soon enjoy some breezes through the city windows on these occasional warmer days!

I am :

ready to buy some new sock yarn.

still enjoying the moment at work sunday during the night when the time went from 1:59 to 3:00 in a second. You should
have heard the cheers that went out in the nursery!

amazed at how lucky we are to have Cricket

on a grapfruit juice kick

in love with my new vacuum for the wood floors. Finally bought one. Hoover Flair, bagless. Perfect.

waiting for my jeans to dry so I can go out

going to get the taxes done today

not going to do anything for St. Pats day b/c I never liked it. Ever. Not even once.

getting ready for the first day of spring!

happy to have time to read your blogs after a few long days of work!

I talk more in the comments!

What color do you call her fur?

Tell me more about the vacuum. We have hardwoods everywhere, with only significant area rugs in the living room and our bedroom. I'm considering a Roomba and the Shark that is supposed to be better than the Dyson...

Blue Moon has a Spirit color that is the essence of black and may be a Helo match. Helo has a look on his face that says, "I am cat. Leave me be!"

That vacuum for the hardwood sounds interesting to me too. Please let us know how it works. I constantly chase tufts of dog hair with a Swiffer. Does Cricket shed?

Lorna's Laces might have a color that would match Helo. I seem to remember one in white, gray, and a little black. She's so cute!

Beautiful kitty! When I first saw the picture I thought of this yarn: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=35090792

I just bought some fiber there - no connection other than a happy customer!

I went to St Peter's Catholic School in Skokie. All the Irish kids were so smug about their day that all of us non Irish kids made sure we did not wear any green at all for kind of a pride thing. To this day my 50 year old brother refuses to wear green on St Patrick's Day. Anyway just understanding the St Pat Day dislike for whatever your reason.

oh Maybe we should call this the vacuum knitters blog eh?

I just use it for the kitchen and wood floors. Which is about all we have. We have two rugs that I use the big vacuum on.

THe thing is I vacuum so much more because I have it. It is only about 9 lbs and it is easy to use. Pickes up hair and dirt just fine. I spill things like coffee grounds and cookie crumbs etc all the time. THe shoes have some dirt on them in this weather.
The vacuum is perfect for this.

Now the cord is shorter than I would like. But overall, and I am not a neat nick, I love it and I hop up and use it quickly. It is better than a little handheld vacuum. Good suction.

Happy spring cleaning my friends!

I can just see the smug American Irish at school. I dont mind the people from Ireland, but the smug Irish american thing, children of the real deal, drive me crazy. It is like a mean little club.

Oh my gosh, Helo got so much bigger than the last time we saw him. I'd say more kitten updates are in order. :) I love that you feel lucky to have found Cricket - that's the same way I feel about K.C. And I know that they both feel lucky to have been found by us!!
