I didn't eat them all

At the bakery today...... I took this shot for this blog. I can feel almost guiltess about a cupcake. There were red velvet cupcakes........that is MY choice.

Guess what? I saw a gorgeous shawl today....at a dept store. I had it up to the register, wondering how I would explain it to you all, when the price tag was missing. I took it as a sign. I was crunched for time. Im having some friends who turned 50 already, (i am so jealous) for dinner tonight. I told the guys at the register to just put it aside.

It was dreamy. I could have said I knit it. It was poly/acrylic and it was incredibly soft. I am not ashamed. It was this delicious color way that would have gone with my daily blue jeans.....I think I may have to go back......

Or I may have to knit on on big old needles fast......did I mention it was 25% off?

I just don't have a moment to ponder it really. Sometimes I wait to see if I still want it, and then make a decision.
It was just a garter knit in a big way. With fringe. I normally worry about fringe......

I can buy good yarn for the price of that shawl. I do know this: when I see the perfect sweater at a store or in a catalogue or somewhere, I will buy it.

Besdies it would have broken my sock streak......

I talk more in the comments!

I say knit the shawl and buy the sweater! I get bored with sweaters so it takes a long time to finish one. All those baked goodies look so yummy. Suddenly I am craving scones or cookies. AND cookies!

Do what makes you happy. Go back and get the shawl, then let it inspire you to knit your own version...

It's totally fine to buy a knit sweater... especially when it's on sale. Heck, you probably couldn't but the yarn and knit it for what you'll pay. I say go back and buy that sweater! (OK - do you need any more enablers?)

My rule - once I start obsessing about something, it's time to go back and buy it. So see whether you obsess or not. By the time you decide, it will either be on sale for 50% off, and you will be so happy or it will be gone and you will know it was not meant to be. Easy peasy.

By the way, the secret word I have to type in to prove I'm a living being is:

sockiva (not quite sock diva, but darn close) Just saying.

Buy the shawl. Then go get the red velvet cupcakes. And eat them while wearing your pretty new shawl!! :)
