Odds and Ends

HitherandYarn's one square bunny is adorable. She used a heavier weight yarn than in the original pattern. Now that bunny looks doable to me. Very doable.

I'm working on a compilation of advice, some tongue in cheek, (no!) about preventing hand/arm injuries. I promised Phoenix at Ravelry that I'd get her a rough draft very very soon.

I joined the Garter Group on Ravelry. Betcha you are really excited about all the garter goodies I'll be showing on the blog. That Kathy B, you'll say, she is so darn adventurous.

Oh, you all know it is very cold here in Chicago. In my new year's effort to bring it up a notch with my blog images, I took this picture of Lake Michigan yesterday. I was at the Glencoe Beach.

So here's a question for you: are you ready for spring yarn yet? Kristen my new Swap friend on Rav is. Are you?

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Ready for Spring yarn? Hmmm... I have to keep my eyes open for Spring yarns :-))

Your area looks really cold at the moment. We are having a thaw period at the moment, and they expect rain and wintery weather in the coming week.

It's not as cold and snowy in CT as it is in Chicago . . . but it's so cold and it snowed again today. I am MORE than ready for spring!!!

I'm sitting across the lake from you and am sooooo ready for spring.

We watch Chicago to see what kind of weather is going to be here in a few hours. The lake warms up the air a little - just a little. But the moisture from the lake creates endless lake effect snowfall.

Bring on the daffodils.

I like to knit with all different yarns all of the time, except boucle, I don't care for boucle but my family insists it must be a part of their lives. I am not a huge pastel person although every color has its place, so I don't notice a difference in the yarns I knit with by season!

I'm a sucker for garter anything! I think I'll look into that group. I have to admit I am not ready for spring because it is already here in Texas. I would really like some cold weather. Just not as cold as you are having. Don't you wish we could order the weather we want on any given day.

I sent you an email about the package you sent. All I can say is WOW!

I heart you and all your garter, Kathy B!

I'm not ready for spring yarn - it's only been cold enough to wear wool for four days!
