Have you ever?

Left an FO on the needles for so long, that the ring you were using as a stitch marker tarnished? Inspired by Major Knitters Finish or Frog Friday group, I decided to finally frog this. Then I had to go out and buy polish cleaner for my sterling silver spoon ring. I actually fell in love with the boucle yarn again, and it frogged really easily. I think it will go well with the boucle linen that my sister brought me from her last trip to Ireland.

Have you ever discovered a treasure when you went back to something, for a long time?

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Oh, and the other stitch marker was a guitar pick of Zach's. :)

Everytime I move I find treasures that I forgot about. That's the only good thing about moving!

Pretty colors in your boucle yarn! The white cashmere I'm working with now was a frogged knit and I like it better as a scarf than I did as a sock. Isn't frogging fun! I've always wanted to buy an old thrift shop sweater and frog it. It's amazing the things that thrill knitters!

I'm pretty good about leaving just the bare bones when I abandon a project. On the bright side it's almost like getting a new piece of jewelry.

Although I do not understand the bizarre knitting lingo in the first paragraph, I am glad you put in a side note about the pick you stole from me. No I am not mad as I am a proud fingerpicker and have no need for the star pick, it will live a life more fulfilled on a needle.

lol about zachs pick! (hubby would have hunted me down, lol) glad you rediscovered the love of that yarn, and too funny about the tarnish! Did you pull ou tthe toothpaste and repolish it?

In a word - YIKES! The tarnishing is a riot, and the guitar pick even funnier. I used to use whatever I could put my hand on at the moment for markers - rubberbands, pieces of papers wadded up, strings, rings, earrings. I finally treated myself to beautiful stitch markers. Lots and lots of them. What a treat. I even used part of a set to make earrings for a friend because they were so pretty.

I always seem to lose stitchmarkers. Hardly use them
