Snow head

Well, despite the fact that Grace told me she got her head mannequin at a beauty supply store for 3 dollars, I 'm holding off. Snow heads are free. Maybe I'll make another one and keep it in the freezer.

This is a Christmas gift for Cara. Using all leftover blues, I knitted this up without a real pattern. I used Barbara Walkers top down hat basic pattern. I based it on a DreamHat or some such name, that I found on line. It was selling for over 200 dollars. I'm sure some of you have seen the designs. Mine lacks the long long tassells at the ear flap bottoms. Too funky for Cara.
The pom needs some work and may be remade if I have time before Christmas. Thanks Darcy for the pom tutorial. Alas I was too cheap to buy the pom making gadget. Perhaps I should have!

I broke the windshield wiper on the car this morning. Fireman must replace these things for me like rolls of toilet paper in this house. I'm wincing. I told Zach never to drive without a clear view, as I did this morning! I'd take it to get replaced but Fireman likes a certain kind etc etc. I was also hopping out of the car and wiping the shield with a towel at stoplights. SOmething else I told Zach not to do. I'm very very very careful when I do these things......really.

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Ah, I miss the windshield wiping at stop lights days! I guess I could pretend it's the old days and jump out and wipe sand off. Not the same!

Your hats are getting really good. I like this DreamHat especially.
I'm thinking of knitting an ear flap hat. This one turned out great!

Wow - another great hat. You're on a roll.

Please be careful driving in that heartland weather.

Beautiful hat!!! You are so good at using up all that left-over yarn. I can remember one year driving all the way into town to pick up the girls from school when it was let out because of snow. It was snowing so hard. I had to drive our FWD Jeep truck. The windshield wiper quick working and it was snowing so hard I couldn't see. I couldn't shift the gears in the truck (no automatic) so I drove all the way in first gear with my head out the window wiping off the windshield with a small broom-----oh, were my patience tried on that day!!!!!
Awww thankyou my first pom pom maker my hubby and I made out of card board just go to google there must be someone who has a tutorial on how to make it.I google everything.lol love the hat my son loves these kind of hats the best.Hugs Darcy
