More Warm Hat Wednesday Prizes!

Wooly Wonka's own handspun wooly goodness. The snow was getting on my lens this Christmas Eve morning, so that explains the little blurs. They are real wooly wonders.

The grey is 230 yards of Grey Iclandic. Single ply.

The delicious browns is a skein that I dont know the name of. Trust me. It is incredibly beautiful. Since Bianca and Darcy and I did NOT win any of the alpaca yarn naming contest yarns,( altho, I think we deserved to!) I'm going to name this yarn. See what happens when I cannot knit?

So I'm calling it : Chocolate Lab Who Rolled in the Snow.

Just one more Warm Hat Wednesday post before winners announced on January 5th when all hats are due.

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

hey - didn't you see me not win either even though I came up with a number of very witty names for every single colorway?

So I'll name the grey one - hmmm. what should I name it? Actually I'm much more a color person so it's hard for me to come up with something that doesn't sound yucky and this does look lovely so how about:

Slate junko's wing

(a slate junko is a bird, btw, that is common at our back yard feeder this time of year)

And happy holidays everyone

OH Elaine! Slate Junkos Wing is a great name. We love the little juncos here. I did NOT notice your name in the contest. Truth be told, I quit reading them and just sent mine in kind of Grinchy like. Elaine, you win the name the Icelandic Grey naming contest. Hmmmmmm, something funky coming your way........

Well at least I never wrote - you chose what name when you could have chosen mine? Actually I didn't notice you either (Kathy is just too common a name) but I did see Darcy because of the photo.

Well, I'm feeling lucky about the hat contest. Really lucky. Like really. :-)

And the junkos are sweet aren't they in a non-flashy way.

I like both the junkos and the lab. They both have a wonderful smooshiness look to them.
