Breeakthroughs

First Breakthrough: I am done with holiday gift knitting. I am not bragging. I am feeling guilty. Fireman freed me last week, when he said, "You know you don't have to knit all the gifts this year. Isn't that a lot of pressure?"

I started knitting cowls in the summer and dish towels and a baby sweater. That led to a some gift hats and that knitted sock bookmark. It feels to me, like you have to keep going to the wee hours of Holy Night. Yet, Fireman is right. Or is he just tired of the yarn all over and now the decorations want to be put up as well??????

At any rate, I'm officially finished. So what did I cast on? Something for ME! Oh that feels so good! The Koigu was a gift from Major Knitter this summer. The colors are jeweled and holiday like to me in a light up the tree at night sense. And Grace, oh Grace, I'm knitting LACE!

The Cat's Paw pattern ........it appeals to me on the Leo, that I am , level. It also appeals to me on the obvious level: Radar, Fiona and Rosalyn, the pride in our house.

I'm having fun with the DROPS Christmas Calendar that ScrabbleQueen showcased on her blog.

I cheated and got caught. I tried to look at Christmas eve and I was told in a cyberstern way, NO PEEKING!

The last breakthrough: I am still on my black coffee streak. It has been over 21 days, so I can call it a new habit now!
Do you have a new habit now?
I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Love the writing in the snow. Knitting for the holidays is alot of stress and takes some of the pleasure out of a hobby. But I still do some of it.

Will be watching as your scarf grows.

So what was the deal with all the postcards? What did you ever do with them? g

I understand the holiday thing! I thought briefly about knitting some more cloths or another hat but DH talked me out of it. Once you start it is hard to stop.

I love the scarf. LACE!! I'm so proud of you!

Knitting for me is my favorite kind of knitting! (I know I will appreciate what I made and understand exactly how much time and effort went into it.)
