Geode Berroco Neck Warmer for my Sister Michelle

Neighbor Mary graciously consented to a photo op on her way to the bus stop with little Joey. I won't be surprised if I find a big old mannequin in my yard someday soon. I really should stop pestering the neighbors for blog shots.

My sister, the Vet who LOVES me to knit for her, chose some yarn when we visited 3 Kittens in Minnesota a few weeks ago. She has a gene for art and color. She choose these two shades of Geode :#3659 and 3650 for a grey/blue blend. We wanted a soft washable wool.

I knitted from a site on Ravelry that I have now forgotten but I remember the easy lovely pattern. You cast on a mulitple of 3 and add two stitches. You knit the first and last stitch of every row. Then the pattern: K,K, P. So K1, (K,K,P) across to the last stitch which you K again. Same on both sides. I love the look. Thanks to whoever invented this.

Is anyone else having trouble adjust to the time change, now a full 5 days later?
I am not alone.
Huck and the cats firmly believe the OLD 5:30 pm is still dinner time. I've been weaning them onto the new time.
I am still exhausted by the old bedtime and am still shocked that it is so early when I am clearly ready for bed!
Anyone else getting fooled still everyday?

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

We turn off the TV and pick up our books (and my knitting) at around 8:00 PM every evening. Last night after reading for a while I looked at the clock and it was 8:00 PM. I guess my timing is off too!

You are not alone! I usually go to bed no later than 8:30 due to a long drive across the mountain to work, then as it got dark earlier I'd go to bed around dark. Now I'm ready for bed by 7! Sad, isn't it???

Love that knitting, and those buttons! I've got to have some.

I'm knitting cowls like mad too. I took the body for the Amanda hat pattern on Rav and made that, and then bound off instead of decreasing for the crown of the hat. Woo hoo! Now I will try your version ....

That is so pretty!

I'm tired, but I think it has to do with a sick dog all night Monday night, watching the election returns Tuesday night, going out to see Wicked Wednesday night...you get the picture.

You are not alone. The clocks went back 2 weeks ago and I'm still suffering. I can't get out of bed in the morning! Drives me insane.

The cowl looks wonderful. I think I need one.
