Sock progress

Neither of these socks are my doing! Al has found another goat for her socks. Isn't he cute? He's a big old goat from a generous sock pattern that includes many animals. (Blackberry RIdge Woolen Mill, Inc pattern, Mt Horeb Wi) We don't believe in goat curses around here. Go Cubbies!

Lynn's baby socks for our little patient came out great, and the baby loves to wear them.

My socks are just begun. I'm doubling sock yarns to give me 6sts/inch and casting on 48 stitches. I'm using 3's to get gauge. They are going to be leftover socks. All the yarns are leftover socks yarns from previous pairs. We will see how they evolve .....I'm hoping that at least one same color will be in each of the leftover balls. I've started with orange. I love leftovers ........
turkey/stuffing sandwich
second day lasagna
second day chili
second day brisket.....

What leftovers do you love?
I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Wow, that goat is so cool. I love him!! Can't wait to see your leftover socks. Hmmmm, you've already said my favorite leftover - chili. What else? I guess any leftover dinner I can send to work with Pea the next day for lunch. Then I get a morning off from sandwich making!!
Love the goat motif and the baby socks are adorable! Good idea to use the leftovers for a pair of socks. I bet they'll be terrific.

Great goat pattern. Looking forward to seeing the leftover socks - what a great idea!
Being the Malaysian gal, I love leftover curry, it always tastes better the next day. Also, traditionally, fried rice is made with whatever leftovers you had. No fancy recipe at all.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who digs leftovers. I enjoy leftover soups, stews, spaghetti, chili, you name it. There are very few food items I don't enjoy as an encore. As for yarn, stash diving is always nice. I often get a new perspective on yarns I have sat on for a while..
