Day #5 There are no bad answers contest.

Well, no one guessed what Fireman and I did yesterday correctly. No Matter. In fact, we were fishing again! Best day of the summer. 35 big fat blue gill. I also caught a hat that was floating in the water. It was a White Sox hat, however, so I gave it to our friend.

By the answers you gave to the last question, you all do a lot of laundry first thing in the morning. Wow, you are a admirable bunch. I wait until there are piles of it eveywhere before i do any of it . Why ruin each and every day?

Sock photos soon. I don't think I've ever loved a sock yarn colorway this much.

Okay , let the answers begin!

#11 Is there anyone you will not knit for again?

#12 Do you order yarns from Webs, KnitPicks and the like?

#13 Whats the oldest yarn in your stash and why haven't you started to knit with it?

#14 Do you think of fudge as a summer or winter treat?

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

No :-) My family loves to wear my knitwear, especially socks

#12 Do you order yarns from Webs, KnitPicks and the like?

A yarn from Australia, and one from Alaska. I cherish special yarns

I tend to not knit for my kids so much these days....either they are growing too fast, or just don't appreciate the hand made quality. But hopefully when they are older I can knit for them more.

#12 Do you order yarns from Webs, KnitPicks and the like?
Since I have no LYS (poor me) I have to rely on on line ordering for my stash enhancement. I do tend to order from both those companies and several others.

#13 Whats the oldest yarn in your stash and why haven't you started to knit with it?
I have a skein of handspun that is 4 years old. It's my first real handspun so I won't part with it. Some days I wish I could spin chunky like that again.

#14 Do you think of fudge as a summer or winter treat?
With the temps we've been having lately (105 and above) I've been melting so i can't imagine having fudge not melt (candy bars have to stay in the freezer right now) or even trying to have it set up. Most certainly a winter treat....with a nice cup of hot cocoa and extra whipped cream....ahhh just thinking about it makes the 100 projected high today seem like a cold front.

#11: GD#3 can put holes in knitted socks in 10 minutes flat. Not knitting any more for her until her feet stop chewing on my hand knitted socks!

#12: Other than BMFA (Official STR queen here) I order from KnitPicks, Yarn Market and Loopy Ewe the most.

#13: I have a few skeins of a silk/acrylic blend. Why would anyone mix those two? It seemed like a good idea when I bought it, but when I tried knitting with it I felt like I was knitting with spaghetti--slimy and floppy.

#14: Must have Chocolate every day of the year! It solves any problem!

#11 Yes. But I'm not saying who. :D

#12 Yup!

#13 I've got some Vintage Acrylic from my Great Grandmother's stash. Does that count? I haven't used it because it's an heirloom (yah...that's the ticket).

#14 Can't it be both?

11. Not so far.
12. I've ordered from KnitPicks, Loopy Ewe, and several Etsy vendors.
13. Novelty yarns. I went crazy for them when I first started knitting, now, not so much.
14. Definitely winter. Too sticky and rich for summer. But then, I think the same thing of ice cream.
#11 Is there anyone you will not knit for again? -- yes, I mentally keep track of anyone who was less than excited to get a handknit piece from me.

#12 Do you order yarns from Webs, KnitPicks and the like? -- Oh yes, and others as well. I still buy at my LYS, but she can't carry everything.

#13 Whats the oldest yarn in your stash and why haven't you started to knit with it? -- I'm sure it's at least 5 years old. Just haven't found the right project for it yet.

#14 Do you think of fudge as a summer or winter treat? -- Winter. It would get too gooey in the Summer and I'd rather have ice cream then. Winter fudge & hot chocolate with whipped cream. Yum yum.

I threaten to never knit slippers for my brother again because his feet are so big, but in reality I'll knit him slippers forever. It's what my grandmother used to knit for us.

Yup, I order from KnitPicks. But not from WEBS. Why? Because I'm only a couple hours away from their store - so I can buy my WEBS yarn in person!!!

Oldest yarn?? I have no idea. But I'm sure I'm saving it for just the right project. :)

Fudge? That's an "anytime my blood sugar is low" treat. :)
