Dream in Color Cowl , thanks Cara

Beautiful Cara, rising senior, models my just finished Three Seas Cowl designed by a woman whose last name is ...Storm! I found the pattern on Ravelry. It was intended as lace. I used Dream in Color at 4.5 sts/inch. I love the feel of this yarn. It is somewhat stretchy and so so soft. I would definitely buy this yarn again.

Someone like Cara, who laughs at the camera is such a natural that the images just pop with joy. As you can see the screen porch is really open for the season now.

What with all the rain we've had the mosquitos will be clammoring to get in at Fireman. They usually leave me alone. He is one of those people you want to sit next to b/c you'll never get bit. I believe there are two kinds of people on earth: the mosquito bait folks, and the rest of us. I saw some little bats last year, every night around late dusk. I am so brave when I am on the screened porch and they are outside. I find them aerodynamic and amazing. I am grateful that they eat mosquitos. The last time I checked there hadn't been a mad bat attack on anyone's neck in these parts, for....ever.

I've yet to hear the insects start making their pretty night noises. I love a cricket sound. I may name my next dog: cricket.
Or maybe my next cat. I love when people name thier border collies FLY. I haven;t seen a butterfly or a firefly yet. Oh I love a lightenbug night! My friend lives on the edge of a little wetland and I've been there at dusk, when the fireflys are all lighting up for one another. Oh, it is nothing short of magical to me.

Summer porch knitting. Rising seniors. It is a great night to knit on my porch. C'mon over.

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

I do not miss mosquitos. That's for sure.

Cara could not be cuter! Good luck to her in her senior year!
I'll be right over ... knitting on the porch day or evening is exactly what I love to do most. Catching the flutter of a butterfly going by and watching the occasional brave bird that lands near by curious about what you're up to. This is when I love life the most. (next to holding a new born baby)

Happy knitting!
