Knotty Knitter and Wound Too TIght, c'mon down

Darcy, Knotty Knitter's blogwriter, and Deb, Wound Too TIght's blogwriter, are the winners of my contest. Everyone else can just read the next paragraph and say.....shoot I didn't win! (, collectively ) Darcy, wahoo! A friend of Grace's. I'm thrilled for you. Thank you for all the comments y ou've left since you found me with the contest post. Deb, I swear there was no favoritism shown for fellow Gorgeous Golden Retriever regular commentor, mom of Holli. However, I was delighted when your name was pulled. Now, Deb, you get to pick which of the sock yarns you would like. Darcy will get the other.

I'm still knitting away at the plain stockinette baby blanket. I love the colors. I am also on the lookout for a small shrug pattern that has BIG bell arm sleeves that come just above my elbow. In other words, I need to cover my large upper arms or I won't like how it looks. I have a scar on one upper arm that makes it superugly, too. Al believes, 3 Bags Full has a pattern that I might like.

I feel another tissue cover knit coming on......as for how much yarn is needed to make one:

I've been using sock yarns that are leftover. These leftover balls of yarn are between the size of a smallish orange and a largish plum. Does that help? If anyone wants, I'll post a picture of about how much I've used, next to something for comparison.

I'm still doing the wee tiny bite bit. I find salads incredibly hard to comply with. !!!

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Yeah, congrats to them!!!! :) Hmmm, I say if it's salad, go ahead and take big bites. Unless, of course, it's a taco salad, which really isn't very healthy at all. :)

Congrats to the gals who won! :D
You'd be surprised how few people actually take notice of scars... I have many large ones from surgeries & procedures, and many are in (what I would think would be) noticeable places, like my face. Most people don't seem to really notice, or at least don't care (or they're kind enough to pretend not to). You'll always think they're more noticeable than they actually are, trust me! At least your scars are on your arm & can be hidden pretty easily most of the time. If you're really self-conscious, you could use makeup to hide it (I use Dermablend & it works better than anything else I've tried).
Sorry, didn't mean to make such a long comment, I just know how you feel about the scars. :)
Thanks for writing such a great blog! You take beautiful pictures and have gorgeous handiwork.
