Rubber Chicken loves Acrylic yarns

Well, despite the best of intentions I won't be entering my rubber chicken in the Mason-Dixon Project Runway Contest. No time to knit for the rubber chicken. But, I do want to share that Rubber Chicken is very fond of acrylic yarns. (of course)
Rubber chicken LOVES the bright raspberry Phentex Chunky yarns sent to us by Grace during our Acrylic Swap.
I keep finding RB amid the gorgeous skeins.

I'm thinking baby blanket gift. It is the year of the blanket for me, you know.

Have a great weekend. I'll be finishing faux cashmere babushka and working on mineshaft throw. Oscar knitting anyone?

I love the look of the Phentex acrylic. Is it soft? Scratchy acrylics hurt my hands, but Lion Brand has some really soft acrylics out now.

The color is so beautiful that a baby blanket in that would be gorgeous. Happy knitting!

I have to agree. That's a great color for a baby blanket.

I love the Oscars! I'm going to work on that crazy toe sock.

Very pretty for a baby blanket.

Most new mother's love acrylic so they can throw it in the wash. I remember when my kids were little if someone gave me wool, it went right into storage without ever being worn. My mother in law gave my crawling one year old a beautiful jumpsuit that had to be drycleaned. I thought the woman was insane. Actually, I still think the woman was insane.

The blanket you're making with the many colors is so pretty. Looking forward to seeing it grow.

and if you need more I have a few more skeins of it around here, too!! I used it in grey with a mohair carry along for a sweater for myself, very very warm and plan to use the grey I have left for the Knitting Needle Bag, some day only HE knows when

I love the color! The chicken is going to be so jealous of the baby though.
