IF you haven't got a heypenny then God Bless YOU

Al's HalfPenny from an Old Interweave Pattern. It's Halfdone.

Original McDonald's store in DesPlaines. I met my sweet husband at McDonald's when we worked there. We tallied the bills by pencil and paper. I will always heart McDonald''s. Ohhh I could go there for Valentine's day.

Besides gettiing ready for Valentine's day, alias Wannacookie is turning 10 this week. I'll be posting about it. Did anyone knit to the big show this weekend? The Dog show that is. My absolute favorite name for a dog was the Chinese Crested whose AKC name is I SHAVED MY LEGS FOR THIS! If you read Irisheyes for any length of time, you know how I love CLEVER. Alias Wannacookie's AKC name is : Driftwood Huck's Alibi.

I'm going to visit my sister in Minnesota this weekend. Must prep for knitting on the train. First train trip for me in 30 years. Any tips?

One more thing: I had a ball knitting a little something for my new friend Grace who is doing acrylic swap with me. Can't show you just yet!

that's it. No politics here.

The HalfPenny is lovely! I can't wait to see the finished project!

Your story about McDonald's is sweet - it would be a great place to go for Valentine's Day (even if it's just for coffee or something, and you have dinner somewhere else).

Minnesota! Hey, how long are you going to be here? Long enough to have coffee/wine with some fellow knitbloggers?

We're getting a nice coating of new snow for your upcoming Minnesota visit. Plus I don't think it's going to be 80 below zero! Have fun - go to yarn stores - we have tons!!

My girl's is Sugar's Black Pearlicue.

Sugar = her dam's name

Black Pearl = nod to money theme (in both sire/dam registered names)

-cue = Q, ie. "Q"ualifying in the obedience ring

I worked hard on that one. :)

Now I need a cheeseburger. And some FRIES!

Half Penny is on my to knit list - maybe seeing Al's finished will inspire me. I feel a little out of sorts without a sweater in progress.

The DesPlaines McDonalds picture really brings back memories! I've eaten there many many times. We may have been ships passing in the night!

Macy is registered as Eclair's Scruffy.

LOL! You make me curious! I had plans to show my acrylic stash, but the computer had to go away for a repair, so the photos are still on my camera. :-)

No... I don't have a haypenny ;-)

You should DEFINITELY do McD's for Valentine's day... like dessert. Coffee & Apple Pie ;-)
