Take your hands off my Stanley

I won a contest over at Kim's blog. Kim has a great blog over at KnitswithasilentK.blogspot.com.
She sent me some merino superwash named Confetti! It is just the thing for the midwest greys this time of year. She also enclosed a Stanley tape measure. Perfect size, absolutely needed around here. I am often accused of taking the innkeepers tools .....for knitting. Ha! I told him MY Stanley is off limits too you know.

Thanks friends for the Awards last week. I'm delighted I you read irisheyes.

I am resting today. I twisted a little something in my back last week as I tripped UP the stairway. I am using the hot sweet potato treatment. Ahh, nothing like the cooked potato fitting right into the small of your back. Stays warm for hours in its little foil wrap. Have you ever tripped UP?

Ooowww, sorry about your back. I've never heard of the Hot Potato Cure, but it's brilliant. And yes, I am sorry to say, I have tripped up the stairs too.

Pretty prize yarn. :)

My recommendation is for a good physio as well. I'm forever twisting and injuring myself and they are a great help. Apart from that, get lots of rest.
Glad you won a contest!!

Lovely awards! I have a Stanley that is keyring sized and treasure it. I rely on my reheatable pillows stuffed with buckwheat as I would be likely to squish the sweet potato into a messy situation:)

Love this post - the subliminal messages all over. It's great. Kudos to your guy for playing along.

I'm so sorry to hear about your back. I haven't heard about falling up... but I have put my back out by sneezing before. That was an embarassing one to explain to the doctor. I hope you feel better soon. Love the concept of the sweet potato remedy.

Hope your back is doing better... back pain is definitely no fun! I have fallen up, down, and probably sideways! LOL... Usually falling up I bang my knees on the stairs (because my foot slips or I miss the step completely).

I love your Stanley and your yarn, too! Don't let Stanley out of your sight! :)

I agree.. the yarn is beautiful and I kinda like your Stanley too. I usually lose these things, you can find them everywhere in the house here.
