Malabrigo Button Warmer

Here is my Twisted Rib Neck Warmer in Malabrigo Kettle-Dyed purples. Three Bags Full designed the quick and easy pattern. I have posted the other photo I think you should see above this post. I'm having image posting issues. Sorry. The point is, (yes Kathy b. get to the point!) the buttons have to be sewn on the diagonal for the snug fit. I figured this out myself. (one small step for mankind, one huge step for Kathy b.) My love for malabrigo is rekindled. One of the few yarns I can wear without itching. Oh, another thing, I used just OVER one skein. Some of you can figure out how to make it a one skein. I never tie scarves well, so this is a good solution for me.

I'm restarting the sister vest. This time I am using a Knitting Pure and Simple Pattern. I have a question for you all, why do I knit tighter on circular needles? Any hints for me? Does anyone else do this?

Tomorrow, Diane the lurker's, killer Halloween snack. The darling baby hat posted a bit a go, has a pattern that she loaned to a friend. When it returns to her, she'll share the specifics with us.

Duh... Nothing like asking a silly question in a comment (the answer was right in front of my nose! I was asking where the pattern camne from!)

This is a beautiful and cozy-looking scarf, the buttons make it elegant! It would make a lovely (and quick-to-make)gift, too!

Oooh, love the scarf. Colors are wonderful and looks SO cozy! About knitting tighter on circ's: I have heard that it happens because it's all knits. For example, I purl looser than I knit, so if I K a row and P back, I get one gauge, but if I K a row on circ's and then K the second row, it's tighter. Hope that helps! :)

That's the perfect scarf! No long tails to get in your way and the buttons hold it in place. Ingenious!

I also can't seem to knit projects that are supposed to take one skein. I must be a loose knitter.

Malabrigo ... ooooohh yum!!

Very cool scarf and what a beautiful color. I'm no good at tying scarves either.

It's been a long time since I knit with Malabrigo. Surely I have some around here someplace...
