Al's Shawl is going to the Studio

Lynnette at 3 Bags Full, asked Al if she could display her shawl in the Studio for awhile.
There is no hurry to give it to her cousin, so off it goes. I needed a model, so the boy in the park statue had to do.

Al warns the border wasn't terribly fun. She had to pick up 400 stitches (or was it 200?) for the trim on size 2's. It has been fun to watch her knit this cape/poncho and see it come together.

I'm chugging along on the vest fronts. I had to call Joan for some help this morning. "It is a glitch," she told me. The problem...
I'm getting all turned around with directions on the circulars. She had the fix: go to straights. She says it will be crystal clear.

Postcard contest goes until Labor Day remember. Monica asked if you can enter more than one postcard.....
SURE, you can.

Amazingly beautiful shawl and what patience. The weird thing here is that I came across your blog because I was looking for knitting blog contests to talk about on my podcast and out of all the blogs in the knitting blog universe your's came up. I think it is great you took a knitting class, I am not certain who Joan is.....I find it inspirational somehow that you seeked out this kind of help and it sounds like it was such a positive experience.

I'd be happy to tell you what I have- you can see some of them on my Etsy site, though I just sold two kits tonight and have to re-list tomorrow. I do have separate patterns as well. Just e-mail me when you get a chance and we will go from there. I have a question, are you Ali's Mom? I have met her (once) at three bags when she was working ther...she was so nice and ris really really beautiful...and talented!!! Can't get much better then that.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. I'm Making Bunny Rabbits

  These are the one square bunnies .  They are a free pattern on Rave1ry.  I'm bunny making to force spring to come.  I'm a1so taking it easy on my hands again.  The med we tried did keep my hands from shaking, but it was a med for a med. and that's crazy town.  I can contro1 a hook much better than need1es.  It wi11 have to suffice for now.  I'm enjoying your b1ogs and your Spring.  This time of year I so want to 1ive in a southern state.  But this Spring is a new one for me and I'm going to find a way to 1ove it.   IT may have just gotten to 50.   Degrees.  I have to run.  There's very ear1y yardwork to do.   The birds have 1eft a rotten mess of sunf1ower she11s under the feeders.  I hope it is not frozen!  Have you been switching things up in your neck of the woods?   I haven't forgotten you, b1og pa1s.  I 1ove seeing you on Instagram .

Do You Smile When You Knit???

I am pretty sure I smile when I knit.  I'm going to think about that today when I pick up the baby blanket in progress.  I am also pretty sure I cry when I knit; well, not really.  I have shed some tears over the years but they were way back.  I surely scowl when I drop a stitch.   A time lapse of knitters' faces would be interesting enough .... Tank, aka Helo, is starting to smile around here.  Just look into those aqua eyes......they make me smile all the time. He is half Siamese and all gorgeous.
