Cha cha cha Changes...

Al frogged her entire sock for it's trash talking gusset. Wow. This is the new one. She's using some STR and a pattern from Knit Night Socks by all the knitters at Mountain Colors. I believe she is making Diana's Simple Lace Cuff. Al says she knits faster with lace or cables because she is more interested in her knitting.

What follows is non-knitting content......
This is Day 1 of my trying not to be a Cub Fan anymore. This needs no explanation, sadly. The flag, the shirts...anyone want them?

I awoke to the radio contest giving away Cubs tickets this morning. Must change station.

It is brisk this morning and I habitually reached for the tattered Cub sweatshirt...
stopped myself.

Coffee chatter around the kitchen table was mostly Baby Bulls discussion.

Chose Yankee mug for this mornings coffee.

Before yesterday's game even started I took the Cub flag down from the front porch. (Sox fan neighbor emailed me, said they noticed. Hint of compassion in their email.)

So goes Day 1. I'm not giving up baseball. Just the team I was born and raised with. The time has come. Mid-life carries a certain responsibility with it.

Encourage me. For there is no Joy in Mudville.....

As a Cubs fan I cannot condone your behaviour.
Maybe you just need a giant foam Cubs paw? ;)

I'm sorry, I've missed the Cubs controversy. I guess I do need an explanation. As a child raised within the Red Sox nation, I'm curious what's caused you to revoke your citizenship. (As you know, within RSN there are no other teams, and as someone who doesn't even watch the Sox regularly, I have no idea what the Cubs are up to....)
