Cool yarns for Hot Days

Here are some cool yarns to check out on this hot day:

Yarndex Adriafil's Ice Cream
Cascade Ice
Knit one Crochet Too's Italian Ice
Handspun merino "lemonade" knitspin.etsy.com
and
Handspun merino "mellow sherbert" also knitspin.etsy.com

Relief is predicted for Chicago tomorrow. Perhaps I can sit out on the screenporch and knit for more than a half and hour at a time. I am still working on my NORO wool jacket. Today I had to take a break and work on a simple belt in cottons.

My LYS has the light up needles and I am just figuring out which size I'll use most. I wonder if I'll attract lightening bugs.......

Love you cool yarns list - so clever. :) Glad to hear you'll get some relief tomorrow . . . then maybe in a few days it will head our way too. Can't wait to hear your review of the light up needles. Let me know about the lightning bugs too - that would be too funny.

I, too, would really like to hear how well the light up needles work. Joe prefers to watch movies on TV in the dark and I've been wondering if a headlamp or lightup needles would be the way for me to cope.

At least it's not 500 DEGREES! Do you like how I snuck that in? You do have my sympathies. Up in the Pacific Northwest it's a balmy 75 degrees. Keep us posted on the light up needles. Wish I'd thought of that!

Light up needles? Wow, that's pretty high tech. They will be perfect though when the evenings start coming earlier!
