Breezy Cables Spring Interweave

Al is almost finished with the back of her Breezy Cables sweater. She worked on it Up North and it seemed a perfect thing for the pier picture.

No cables for me. My mind is seeking calm so the garter stitch based Swing Jacket is perfect for me right now. I like how garter gives a strong not stretchy look to this garment.

I am working on a simple contest for my 500th post. The prizes will reflect 500 of course, in some manner. Leave me a comment that includes the words five and hundred in some way, and you are in. Prizes will be shown in tomorrows post. Any comment between now and the 500th post (this is post 495) with those words in it, is an entry! C'mon lurkers....I hope you are out there!
Please leave me your email or blog so I can thank you for your comment.

I still haven't watched the ER tape you very kindly sent me about a HUNDRED days ago -- we got a new DVD/VCR combo about FIVE weeks ago but it hasn't been hooked up yet.

Are you going to want the videotape back? Will I be seeing you at Stitches Midwest? Does this count as a contest entry?

*edited to actually follow the instructions and use the written out word "hundred" instead of just the number:)*
FIVE of us were at GROUP tonight - we really missed you, but you may have lucked out since the heat was broken at the Borders Cafe and it felt like it was at least one HUNDRED degrees!

I love cables and that sweater is going to be gorgeous. Looks like Al had to use that cable needle about five hundred times (what with all those twists).

Wow, that sweater is going to be beautiful. It's a HUNDRED times harder than anything I've ever knit. Heck, it would take me FIVE years to knit a sweater like that. :)

I certainly can relate to Karen's comment! This is just lovely, almost makes me want to do a nice, big cabling project - maybe this winter.

[…] On the substantive side, a few legislators got to ask the cable people serious questions. Points for substance go to Garrison (D-Marietta), Stewart (R-Athens), Okey (D-Carrollton), Barrett (D-Amherst), and Foley and Williams (D-Cleveland). […]

Wonderful! Thanks for sharing this. I actually just found out where to get hold of this pattern super cheap and so am going to give it a whirl myself. If anyone else is interested, you can get Breezy Cables here: http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=4440238
