Baby Bolero by Al

This little bolero for a newborn is why I purchased the new book One Skein. Al made it quickly and easily for her Spanish teacher's new baby to be. Que lindo.

I spent much of the knit time today frogging. I currently have one half of a sleeveless summer shell in 4x1 ribb, 170 stitches on a circular needle. While I goofed for sure, I must say that after trying it on, I do really like the way the rib shapes without fuss. I have no idea where to go from here. I am up to the armpits .....what will tomorrow bring?

UCLA....all the way!

Please leave me your email or blog so I can thank you for your comment.

That bolero is so CUTE!!!! Now I know just what to make little baby Camden with the new blue yarn I bought Saturday. (Or is it too girly??) Last I heard, he's up to 4 lbs, 11 oz (that was a week or so ago, so he's probably even bigger now) and doing fine. I think he needs some snuggly hand-knits though. Thanks for the great idea!

Egad, another book I'm going to have to get! Beautiful work! And I enjoyed seeing the Lacy Kerchief Scarf, especially since I'm working on it too for Project Spectrum. Now, tell us about that quilt...did someone make that? It looks intriguing.

I almost bought that book the other day... I am sure it's still in my future! Very pretty colors!I like the co-ordinating hat - the addition of the white adds a nice bit of interest.
